  3. The installation consists of putting a small piece of software called the Alert! Network Responder on the machine to be diagnosed.

  5. The Network Responder is a background application that sends the necessary information back to Alert!. A Responder must be installed on each machine that is to be diagnosed via the network.

  7. To install the Network Responder, simply copy it to the Extensions Folder. If you copy it to the System Folder Icon, the Responder will automatically be placed in the Extensions Folder.
